WRE Forum presents the Bangla Tutorial on Open Channel Flow Modeling using HEC RAS and SRH-2D by Dr. Md. Mostafa Ali, Dept. of Water Resources Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).

Computational hydraulics deals with methods and techniques for the numerical simulation of water flows in natural or man-made systems with the aid of computers. Hydrologic Engineering Center's (CEIWR-HEC) River Analysis System (HEC-RAS) allows the user to perform one-dimensional steady flow, one and two-dimensional unsteady flow calculations, sediment transport/mobile bed computations, and water temperature/water quality modeling. SRH-2D, or the Sedimentation and River Hydraulics – Two-Dimensional model, is a two-dimensional (2D) hydraulic, sediment, temperature, and vegetation model for river systems under development at the Bureau of Reclamation.
